Painting: on Canvas.
Size: 28 W x 7 H x 2 in
I was inspired to paint this work while riding on an overpass in rural Louisiana over water and marsh. Roseau Cane, a swamp grass is dying in La. swamps, which along with oil infrastructure, the BP spill, climate change and natural erosion imperils the protective swamp and marshland. So I was thinking of that, and the beauty of the marsh gave me hope for a new direction. This peice is framed in wood painted white. It is on a recyclyed canvas, ready to hang.
